Tony T. Escalante Jr. was called home by the Lord on March 27, 2025, at the age of 93.  He was born in Taylor Texas, on October 26, 1931. He is preceded in death by his wife Estella N. Escalante, his son Tony N. Escalante III, parents Antonio & Margarita Escalante. He is loved and will be missed by his Daughters, Sylvia E. Lozano (Joe) and Sandra E. De La Rosa (Joe), Sons, Robert N. Escalante (Yolanda), Daniel N. Escalante (Virginia), and David N. Escalante; 14 grandchildren,  27 great grandchildren, 8 great, great grand children and (Sister) Dominga E. Hernandez, along with extended family and friends.

Tony served in the United States Armed Forces and was given an Honorable Discharge from  the United States Army. Tony had a passion for music. His Mom bought him his first Accordion when he was about 16. He was determined to learn how to play it, so he self-taught himself to play the Accordion at a very young age. He loved being at home drinking his tequila, singing and playing his Accordion. He loved singing with our Mom whenever we had family gatherings. Tony was a devout Catholic and served faithfully as a member of the San Martin De Porres Catholic Church choir for 54 years. He lived a full and wonderful life with his family. He will be dearly missed. We are forever grateful to his son David N. Escalante
whom took special care of him.

Visitation will be held at Castillo Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025.  Visitation will be held at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church, 1730 Dahlgreen, 78237, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.  A Rosary will be recited the same evening at 6 p.m. The funeral procession will be held at San Martin De Porres on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 with a Mass at 11:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.  Services under the direction of Castillo Funeral Home.
