Obituary

Trinidad "Trini" Alvarado, 84, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2025, at 12:09 p.m. She was born on May 19, 1940, in San Antonio, Texas, to Jose and Maria Ordones.

Trini was known for her love of crafting, sewing, dancing, and her many joyful trips to Kickapoo and Las Vegas. She brought laughter, warmth, and light to all who knew her. In a beautiful act of divine timing, earlier that same day, at 2:24 a.m., her beloved older brother, Carlos Ordones, who had lived with her for the past 20 years, was also called home to the Lord. It brings comfort to the family knowing they left this world together, reunited forever in God's embrace. Carlos is survived by his son, Armando Ordones (Laura); his daughter, Norma Garcia; and his granddaughter, Abigail Garcia.

Trinidad O. Alvarado was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Alfredo Alvarado; her parents, Jose and Maria Ordones; and her brothers, Cipriano Ordones (Hermelinda) and Carlos Ordones.

Trini is survived by her son, Alec Alvarado; her daughter-in-law, Raquel Villanueva; and her nephew, Andrew Trinidad Quiroga.

She is also survived by her sisters: Syria Vallejo, Shirley De La Garza (Louis), Yolanda Davis (George), and Lucy Rosales; her brothers: Frank Ordones (Tommy) and Freddy Ordones (Dora); as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Trini's spirit, kindness, and vibrant personality will always be remembered and never forgotten. She lived her life with deep compassion, pouring her love into those around her, especially in their most vulnerable moments. In their final years, when age and illness made it hard for them to care for themselves, Trini became the gentle hands and steady presence for her mother Maria, her beloved husband Alfredo, and Mr. and Mrs. De La Garza. She tended to them with unwavering devotion, grace, and quiet strength, never asking for anything in return. Her love was constant, selfless, and a reflection of the faith that guided her. Through every act of care, she offered not only comfort, but the peace and dignity of God's love. The light she shared continues to shine through the lives she touched.
