Valdemar C. Mungia, 93, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in 1932. Valdemar was one of twelve children born to the late Leonardo and Isabel C. Mungia. Throughout his long and meaningful life, he was known for his unwavering love for his family, his wisdom, humor, and the quiet grace with which he carried himself.

Valdemar shared 54 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Alice J. Mungia. Together, they raised a close-knit and devoted family. He is survived by his children Eliza (Robert) Perez, Leonardo (Rahma) Mungia, Debra (Gilbert) Garcia, and Robert (Cynthia) Lopez. He was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren and a joyful great-grandfather to 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Valdemar C. Mungia Jr., and is now reunited with him in eternal peace.

Valdemar's presence brought strength, laughter, and warmth to every room he entered. His legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished him.
