Velia G. Cano, born on, January 10, 1940, was called home to be with our Lord on March 7, 2024 at the age of 84.  She is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Alfredo Gomez and Isabel M. Gomez; sister, Elodia Rodriguez; brothers, Alfredo Gomez and Edward Gomez. Velia is survived
by her sister Dahlia Garcia (Urban Garcia) ; husband of 56 years, Felipe S. Cano; son, Jimmy Cano (Lupita Duran); grandson, James Devan Cano as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Mrs. Cano was a teacher for the Edgewood District for over 20 years.  She had a beautiful heart and soul. She also loved spending time with family and friends. Her love and great memories will remain in our hearts for all Eternity.
