Velia F. Vega, born on May 30, 1926 in Eagle Pass, TX was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the age of 93 in San Antonio, TX. She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and loved by all who knew her. She is reunited in Heaven with her parents Faustino and Carolina Flores; her beloved husband, John Joe Vega; daughter, Josephine V. Tavitas; and sisters, Mary Louise Rios and Carmen Sanchez. Mrs. Vega is loved and will be greatly missed by her brother, Faustino Flores Jr.; her daughter, Rose Marie Cortez-Stone (Gregory); grandchildren, Laura M. Lopez (Eric), Janice Marie Kellar (Josh) and Frank V. Cortez III; 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson; her loving dog, Blue as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
