Venus Carmelita F. San Andres, 54, wife of William Sanao, died Thursday afternoon (Jan. 5, 2023) in the University Hospital in San Antonio Texas. She was born on July 1, 1968, in the Philippines, a daughter of the late Aida F. and Rafael San Andres.

Venus obtained her BSN Bachelor of science in nursing and was a member of the American Nurses Association. She worked at University Health System from 2008-2022, an enormous wealth of comfort and care to her patients and a joy to all those she encountered. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing, singing, and swimming. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be remembered forever by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Aida T. and Rafael San Andres.

In addition to her husband William Sanao, family members include children, Andrei Asetre, Raven I. San Andres, Clara Kaye F. San Andres, and Noah Liam F. San Andres; a granddaughter, Thea Claire San Andres; siblings, Belinda S. Ellar, Elisa S. Hernandez, Felix F. San Andres, Luis F. San Andres, Agaton F. San Andres, and Edgardo F. San Andres; in addition to numerous extended family both here in the United States and the Philippines.

The family will receive guests from 12:00pm to 5:00pm Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Castillo Funeral Home. A chapel service will be conducted at 12:30 pm in the Castillo Funeral Home Chapel during visitation.
