Vicenta Huron
Moreno
January 22, 1932 – October 25, 2024
"When your beautiful heart stopped beating, our hearts just broke in two, knowing that here on earth, there will never be another like You."
Our dearly beloved Pastor and Mother V. Moreno was surrounded by her family, friends, Sisters and relatives at home on October 25, 2024 when God called her to his heavenly home at the age of 92 yr old.
She had 12 children. Her 7 surviving children are Manuel Moreno Jr., Irene Cazares, Robert Moreno, Rosie Moreno, Rey Moreno, Rebecca Reyes, Janie Moreno. Those 6 children who have gone on before the Lord are Rudy Moreno, Theresa Beltran, Carlos Moreno, Joe Moreno, Lucy Moreno, and her Husband Manuel Moreno Sr. Each of them brought her in measurable pride and joy, and she cherished every moment with her family, always leading with love, integrity and laughter.
She was a devoted servant of the Lord, who dedicated her life with a passion in preaching the word of God to the lost souls. She preached the word of God taking Holy Ghost Revivals outside in the fields throughout San Antonio. She touched many lives and she loved people unconditionally and always gave a helping hand and even brought them into her home. She always gave words of wisdom and guided them down the path of righteousness. She saw the light in everyone and never had any regret. We are going to miss her presence here, but we know that she is rejoicing with our Savior in Heaven.
Family and friends are invited to Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 3:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. On Friday, November 8, 2024, a celebration of Life will begin at 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Castillo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
Revelation 14:12-13 " Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."
A Shepherd's Love
You guide us with a gentle hand,
A shepherd to this flock so grand,
You lead us through life's twists and turns,
And help us learn the lessons we must learn.
You offer comfort in times of pain,
And help us see the sun after the rain,
You lift us up when we are down,
And help us to wear a smile instead of a frown.
You are a friend and a mentor too,
A source of wisdom, love, and truth,
And we are grateful for all you do,
For being a shepherd who loves us so true.
