Victor M. Rios Jr. passed away peacefully on February 22, 2022 surrounded by his Family and loved ones at the age of 70. He was born in San Antonio Texas, on November 26, 1951, the son of Victor L. Rios and Anita (Morales) Rios. Victor Graduated from Memorial High School, class of 1971. Following Graduation he served for twenty years with the United States Air Force until retirement. A short time after that he went on towork as letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal service, he worked there for many years until his retirement from there as well. In the Fall of 1971, Victor married his love Patricia Ann Mendez and they recently celebrated 50 years of marriage this past September. Victor was a fan of many things from football to golf but his favorite activity was fishing. Victor was loved by many for his likeability and his candor. He will be greatly missed.

Victor is reunited in Heaven with his parents; his sister Josie Jiminez; and his two loyal companion dogs (at different times), Tazz and Chewie.

Surviving in addition to his wife Patricia Rios are his son Victor J. Rios III and wife Jennifer Rios; Daughter Brenda D. Merta; two grandchildren Mathew Merta and Ashley Merta; five Siblings Mary Rios, Robert Rios Sr., Sylvia Carranza Rios, Rosa Jackson and Ester Flores; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Castillo Funeral home, on Sunday March 27, 2022 from 3:30pm until 8pm with a Memorial Service to begin at 6:00pm. On Monday, March 28, 2022, family and friends will meet at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery for a graveside service at 10:15 a.m.

Those who wish to remember Victor are welcomed to attend, and your presence will be appreciated.
