Our beloved brother, Victor Manuel Ruiz, born on April 2, 1952, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. Kind, gentle, loving person. That was our brother, Victor, a humble soul who will be greatly missed. He graduated from Fox Tech High School and attended San Antonio College. He was devoted to his large family of ten brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He enjoyed getting together with them at family gatherings. A history buff and a book lover, he loved browsing through the local museums to study the paintings because he liked to draw. He frequently brought home stray dogs because he was an animal lover. Under his green thumb, anything Victor planted miraculously grew. He always made time to watch the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. Fishing was another one of his favorite hobbies. He enjoyed spending days fishing at the Texas coast with his brother-in-law, Alfred. A man of faith and of few words, Victor had a huge heart that enveloped all of us in his own quiet, caring way.  He was a special person who left a huge void in our lives.  He left us a powerful but simple legacy through example. Love one another. We love you, Victor. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. Psalm 23:4 - Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou are with me; thy rod and thy staff comfort me.

Survived by sisters and brothers: Mary Pedraza, Lupe Flores, Teresa Soriano, Rachel Canales, San Juana Montez, Socorro Gallegos, Francisco Ruiz, Alejandro Ruiz, Carmen Castro and Diana Quiroz. Deceased mother: Victoria Rodriguez Ruiz. Deceased father: Francisco Ruiz.
