Obituary

On the evening of June 1, 2022, at 66 yrs. old, Victoria Esparza Lara from the West side of San Antonio peacefully took her final breath, surrounded by her Children, Grandchildren and Siblings. To those who knew her, Victoria is remembered as a prayer warrior and woman of God. She called things that weren't as though they were, believing in God to fulfill his promises. After accepting Christ, she was involved in women's ministry, prison ministry, evangelizing door to door throughout inner city neighborhoods, holding gatherings at her home and joining others in prayer. Victoria is preceded in death by her Mother Esmerjilda Esparza, Father Eugenio Esparza, Tia Sara Garcia, and Sisters Elida Hernandez and MaryAnne Vasquez. She is survived by her Siblings, Fernando and Angie Esparza, Yolanda and Juan Luna, Johnny and Magui Esparza, Eugene and Lupe Esparza, Grace and Kiko Alvarez, Virginia and Rogelio Flores, Cousins Alfonso and Margie Garcia and Ex-husband Juvenal Lara,  Best friend and Daughter Belinda and Gabe, Her Delight and Son Carlos and Rochelle, and her most precious gifts, Grandchildren, Elijah (mi Corazón), Aliyah (mi prieta linda), Jeremiah, Elisha and Abigail Victoria, as well as countless nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 14 th at Castillo Funeral Home on 520 N. General McMullen from 2:30PM-8:00PM, services at 6pm. Family and friends will depart Castillo Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 9:00am for a graveside service at 10:00AM at Wildflower Cemetery located on 10392 Kriewald Road.
