Victoria Vara Martinez born March 24, 1953 in San Antonio, TX to Carlos H errera Vara and Rita Fuentes Vara was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at the blessed age of 68. She is reunited in heaven with her parents; son Nicholas Joseph Vara Martinez; brother Simon F. Vara. She worked for the Edgewood Independent School District for 12 years in the Payroll Department and went to work at Southwest Independent School District in the Payroll Department for 22 years and retired for Southwest ISD. She was also a member of the Edgewood Lions Club, volunteered at the Madonna Community Center and was a member and officer at the Panteon de Guadalupe in Converse TX. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Nicholas Joseph Vara Martinez, Jr., Eric Nathan Vara Martinez; sister Guadalupe Vara Zapata, extended family members, and her Edgewood High School Friends "The Divas" who she kept in touch for the past 49 years. She will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
