Victoria V. Mendez, born on July 19, 1949, peacefully departed on March 15, 2025, at the age of 75. She was surrounded by the love and warmth of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, John Roland Orta, as well as her parents, brothers, and other beloved family members.

Victoria, the daughter of Ysidro and Victoria Villanueva, earned her GED and furthered her education at St. Phillips College. Beginning her career at the young age of 16, she worked at various places including Dairy Queen, Farrah Slacks, A&A Insurance, Sugarman's, Sunshine Nut and ultimately retired from Coastal Transport Co. in 2013. She was a devoted family member, whom cherished spending time with her loved ones. She was a devout Catholic and practiced her rosary everyday at 9am without fail. She enjoyed traveling to different towns with her husband to find the best BBQ restaurants and places to shop. Her daily life consisted of watching her novelas and having long phone conversations with her sisters, daughters and friends. She was a firecracker of a woman who fought her husbands battles, because when she was right.. SHE WAS RIGHT! Victoria was brilliant at Math, strong minded, spirited and had loved fiercely.

Victoria is survived by her husband, Robert O. Mendez, daughters Sandra (Jesse) and Michelle (Robert), along with 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as her sisters Lilly (Ralph) and Diana (Walter) and extended family. Her love will be deeply missed, and she will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
