Virginia Lopez went to be with the Lord at home on August 14, 2022, at the age of 82.

Virginia was born on October 19, 1939, in Honduras to the late Carlos Lopez and Maria Del Carmen Yzaguirre. A truly remarkable woman, she was brave and fearless eventually relocating from Honduras to San Antonio Texas. Virginias life was full of many incredible accomplishments but the one she was most proud of was her gift from the Lord, her best friend and daughter, Sabrina Lopez.

Virginia truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; great conversation, good times, feeling hopeful for the future of those she knew. Her capacity for generosity knew no bounds. For much of her working career, she was a popular housekeeper and in addition to would raise the children of the homes she cared for. Her favorite hobby was being outside, planting her plants. She enjoyed the world around her loving trips to the beach or lake. In her free time, she would pass time watching TV making sure to not miss anything of importance to her.

Virginia was deep in her faith and a true servant of the Lord. A prayer warrior, she was always on standby to pray for and with a family. She was someone who would help anyone in need with support, encouragement, and guidance Although her time in this world must end, her love never will. She will be greatly missed as she exists now only in our memories, so until we meet again may she rest in peace.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carlos Lopez and Maria Del Carmen Yzaguirre.

She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Lopez; nephew, Enrique Yzaguirre; many siblings and cousins in Honduras in addition to many numerous extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Castillo Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm.
