Virginia C. Rodriguez was called Home on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the blessed age of 98 years. Virginia was born on May 22, 1926, in Jackson, California, to the late Manuel Contreras and Pilar Medina.

She is reunited in Heaven with her parents, her loving husband Alfonso M. Rodriguez, son George Rodriguez, grandchildren Ryan and Roger Saldana, and brothers Tony Contreras and Manuel Contreras.

Virginia was loved and will be dearly missed by her sons Albert Rodriguez and wife Herlinda, and Abel Rodriguez and wife Sylvia; daughter Gina Saldana; 6 Grandchildren: Monica Ann Rodriguez, George Rodriguez Jr, Valerie Saldana, Abel Rodriguez, Adam Rodriguez, Harley Saldana; 12 Great-Grandchildren: Ana Alicia Turner., Albert Garza, Robert Garza, Giulianna Rodriguez, Madison Rodriguez, Sophia Rodriguez, Dominic Rodriguez, Jackson Rodriguez, Callie Rodriguez, Jase Rodriguez, Camryn Rodriguez, Damian Arguelles and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren: Greyson Turner, Aurora Garza, Colt Garza; and numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation to take place at Castillo Funeral Home on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. Family and friends will depart at 8:30 a.m. in procession on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, for a 9:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. John Berchman's Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, eta 10:45 a.m.
