Virginia Aguirre Soto passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the age of 81. She was born on July 18, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas.

Virginia's greatest treasure in life was her family. She was passionate about cooking and gardening. Virginia was a devoted and loving wife to Willie Vargas Soto celebrating 68 wonderful years of marriage. Her life was a symphony of laughter and love that touched the hearts of family and friends.

Virginia is reunited in heaven with father Jesse Aguirre, mother Ernestina and step father Antonio Ozuna, sons Rene and Fred, brothers Richard Aguirre, Edward and Lalo, brothers in law Richard Lopez and Frank Lopez and sister-in-law Josie Lopez. She is forever loved and will be deeply missed by her faithful husband Willie Vargas Soto, children Olga (Thomas), Willie Jr. (Lisa) and Richard (Delia), siblings Franklin, Michael, Robert, Anna, Clara, Ernest, Sylvia, Bobby, Diana, and Joe, best friend Aurora Hernandez, 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins family and friends.

Please join the family in honoring and celebrating Virginia's remarkable life on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Castillo Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. that evening. On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, a formal funeral procession will depart at 9:15 a.m. for a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St Martin and St Rose Catholic Church located at 1007 W. Theo Ave 78225. Services conclude with cremation to follow at later date.
