Vivian E.
Trujillo
October 16, 1961 – September 3, 2024
Vivian Elizabeth Trujillo was born on October 16, 1961 to Benjamin and Abelina Alvarado. She was called home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2024. She lived a full life with struggles and joys and throughout all of it she remained a woman of faith.
Vivian went by many names: Mother, Abuela, Sis, Tia, Godmother, Sister in Christ, Mentor, Cooking Instructor, Friend and Confidant.
She led her life through example of her strong faith, by loving wholeheartedly, being quick to forgive and always seeing the best in everyone.
Most of us bore witness to her caregiving nature and her love for cooking. She would be the first to show up with a helping hand, emotional support and a tasty dish. Her dishes were just part of her nourishing nature.
Vivian was also a member of the Women's ACTS community at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church. Over the last several years she also lent support to the Teen ACTS community by cooking meals for their meetings, donating clothing for skits and making their aprons for retreats.
Her legacy lives on in the 5 children she raised and her grandchildren. She taught and instilled in them how to be loving, caring, determined, strong, generous and faithful people. She was blessed to be surrounded by her family, prayer, music and storytelling in her final days just as she was in her daily life.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Abelina Alvarado and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
She is survived by her beloved children Stephanie (Henry) Vasquez, Vanessa Trujillo, Jessica (Raul) Trujillo, Roberto Trujillo and Christopher Trujillo. Grandchildren Joshua Trujillo, Sandra Vasquez, Sophia Vasquez, Amaya Ward, Sabrina Ward, Michael Ward Jr., Gabriel Fernandez, Michael Fernandez, Raslind Fernandez and Raul Fernandez Jr. Brothers Ben (Anita) Alvarado, Herbert (Gloria) Alvarado, Hector (Andrea) Alvarado and sister Julie (Rick deceased) Barrera. Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.
Sharing this from our dear friend Father Steve: Guard her from all harm and on that great day of resurrection and reward raise her up with all your saints. Pardon her sins and give her eternal life in your kingdom. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Our heartfelt gratitude for all of the prayers, kindness and time everyone has generously offered for Vivian and our family during this difficult time.
