Yolanda R. Acuña was born on March 27, 1945 in San Antonio, Tx to Alejandro and Natividad Ramirez. She always loved to take care of others and it showed in her choices of occupation. She was a day care center director and retired from that before going on to taking care of the elderly as an adult daycare center director and retiring from that also. She got married to Arturo Acuña Sr. on March 6, 1968 and had two children, Leticia and Arturo Jr. Although the marriage did not last, the two remained good friends and Arturo would often visit her. She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 10, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro and Natividad Ramirez, her son, Arturo Acuña Jr, brothers and sisters, Albert Ramirez, Evangelina Moates, Alejandro Ramirez Jr., Elizardo Ramirez, Bonifacio Ramirez, Abel Ramirez, and her great grandchildren, Riley Sanders and Jazzlynn Ramirez.

She is survived by one daughter, Leticia A. Garcia; father of her children, Arturo Acuña Sr; grandchildren, Melissa and Ignacio Ramirez, Kevin Martinez and Chassity Dean, Crystal Sanchez, Oralia and Steven Sanders, Angel Acuña, Clarissa Acuña and Desiree Acuña; great grandchildren Cesar Lopez, Jaxon Gonzales, Oliver Gonzales, Gabriela Ramirez, Nala Ramirez, Emmett Sanders, Mila Sanders, Saf'ria Aldaco, Natalie Aldaco, and Niayllia Acuña-Orozco; sister Esperanza Cordaway and brother Steven Ramirez; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be visitation services on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 2p.m. to 8p.m. There will be a small prayer service starting at 7p.m. This will all be held at Castillo-Mission Funeral Home, 520 N Gen. Mcmullen Dr., San Antonio, TX 78228, Phone: (210) 432-8586.
