Yolanda Alston, born Yolanda Martinez in Sinton, TX on May 8th, 1942 to Ignacio Martinez and Beatrice Castillo-Martinez, was known as Grandma Yanda by her loved ones.

Yolanda had an increasingly playful and joyful personality as she aged, and was rarely seen without a smile. She loved sneaking sweets and soda when she could, and while she was able, she could be found traversing all over San Antonio until her health forbid her to do so. Yolanda is survived by her sons Arturo, David, and Jesse and their respective families as well as the extended family of son Fernando and daughter Mary Ann, who preceded her in death.
