In Loving Memory of Yolanda Hernandez Cano

August 20, 1954 – July 26, 2026

With profound sadness and unwavering faith, we announce the passing of Yolanda Hernandez Cano, who entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on July 26, 2026, at the age of 71.

Yolanda was born on August 20, 1954, and lived a life defined by love, faith, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. Although she did not reach her 72nd birthday, her life was filled with countless blessings and cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.

At the age of 14, Yolanda met the love of her life, Gilberto M. Cano, who was 15 years old at the time. Their young love blossomed into a lifelong partnership built on faith, commitment, and unconditional love. Together they shared nearly 55 years of marriage, creating a legacy rooted in family, compassion, and perseverance.

Yolanda was a devoted wife, loving mother, treasured grandmother, caring sister, and beloved sister-in-law. She was a woman of deep Christian faith and a faithful member of Faith Outreach Church, where she found strength, hope, and fellowship. Her relationship with God guided every aspect of her life, and she lived each day with kindness, humility, and grace.

She had a vibrant personality that brought joy wherever she went. Colorful in spirit and generous beyond measure, Yolanda was always willing to help others, often giving everything she had—even when it meant going without herself. Her compassionate heart, warm smile, and selfless love touched countless lives, leaving an enduring impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Gilberto M. Cano; her son, Gilbert H. Cano Jr., and his wife, Irene Maria Cano; and their daughter, Kimberli Nicole Casillas. She is also survived by her son, Gabriel H. Cano, and his wife, Beatriz Cano; and their daughters, Alexandria Beatriz Cano and Emily Angelina Cano.

Yolanda was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Ernestina R. Hernandez; her father, Juan Hernandez; and her precious twin sons, Gabriel and Edward Cano.

Though our hearts ache with the loss of her physical presence, we find comfort in knowing that she has been welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior. While there will forever be a missing piece in our hearts, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and the assurance that Yolanda is now at peace with God, whose saving grace sustained her throughout her life.

Her legacy of faith, unconditional love, generosity, and devotion to family will live on through those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered until we meet again.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18
