Jessica A. Gutierrez, age 53, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on May 19, 1970, in San Antonio, Texas, a daughter of the late Dolores A. Gutierrez and Jesse D. Gutierrez.

She was employed by Opportunity Home of San Antonio and was deeply respected by all who knew her. Jessica is remembered for the way she enjoyed visiting flea markets and thrift shops. How she poured her heart into her family, and she was happiest around her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She especially loved seeing her grandkids play sports. Jessica was the life of the party; BBQ's, fishing trips and adventures to the beach were just some of her specialties. She could dance and especially loved Tejano music, especially her favorite Siggno. To know her was to love her, she reflected the face of Jesus in all that she did and wore that warmth, love and affection on her sleeve. Jessica was an angel in our midst who will be remembered forever by all who knew her.

Jessica is reunited in heaven with her parents Dolores A. Gutierrez and Jesse D. Gutierrez.

Family members include children Henry G. Salazar (Katherine Baches), Gabriel G. Salazar and Crystal Lynn Salazar (Ray Lopez); 5 grandchildren; siblings, Janie Closna, Corina Gonzalez (Richard Maldonado), Irene Gutierrez (Randy Gutierrez) and Leo Gutierrez (Margret Gutierrez); many nieces and nephews; in addition to numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for the Rosary Service.

A funeral mass will be conducted on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 10:00 am in San Juan de Los Lagos Catholic Church. The burial will follow with a graveside service at Mission Burial Park South.
